Conference on the Responsible Scale of AI in Healthcare

On 28-29 May 2026, the Ministry of Health of Spain and the Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) will host an international, expert-led conference to accelerate the responsible scale of artificial intelligence in healthcare through the development of an Action Plan.

The Action Plan will support governments and health authorities in integrating AI into healthcare through concrete actions aimed at:

• Earning trust in AI
• Enabling conditions for safe and effective use of AI
• Preventing harm and managing risks in the use of AI

The conference will bring together experts from the public sector, academia, civil society, international organisations, and industry, to collaboratively work on concrete actions to advance the use of AI in healthcare responsibly, safely, and fairly.
